Originally settled in 1654 on the banks of the Mystic River, our village has retained its charm and history as so few places have in New England. Once a booming 19th century ship building center, our connection to the sea is ongoing and the sailing schooners still pass beneath the Bascule Drawbridge, one block from the Whaler’s Inn. Our guests can walk Historic Mystic with its lively Main Street with over 75 unique shops, restaurants, historic sea captain’s homes, and the Mystic Seaport Museum, as well as the Mystic River Park, docks and schooner fleet of Mystic. Our guests can also visit the newly renovated Mystic Marinelife Aquarium, Olde Mistick Village, Mystic Factory Outlets, along with the "Foxwoods" and "Mohegan Sun" Casinos.
Our countryside and shoreline is some of the loveliest in all of Southeastern New England. Whether your interest is sailing, golfing, gambling, or simply a relaxing beach stroll or antique shopping, the Mystic area will charm you. The Whaler's Inn has location – location – location, and it is all yours to enjoy!
The Whaler's Inn is 3-Diamond AAA Approved. Mobil Guide Rated, as well as listed
